ACTIVATED CARBON
Activated carbon is mainly used in the treatment of poisonings, oral ingestion overdoses, flatulence. Erroneous application for example into lungs can cause pulmonary aspiration. Most importantly, its use is contraindicated if alkali, acid or petroleum product is ingested. Its use in food industry includes purification as well as de-colorization of several foods and beverages.
