BLACK TEA EXTRACT 20%
BLACK TEA EXTRACT 20% is obtained from Camellia sinensis which contain polyphenols, catechins and flavonoids. These bioactive compounds help to give antibacterial, salivary amylase inhibition and acidity reduction activities. When it is used in a mouthwash preparation, it reduces the salivary level of oral cavity pathogens like mutans and lactobacilli. This has prominent effect on oral leukoplakia. Due to the presence of polyphenols, it is used in the treatment and prevention of obesity. It also has anti diarrheal activity. Non-polymeric phenolic compounds are mostly responsible for its antibacterial and antioxidant activities.
