GLYCEROL
GLYCEROL is used in the treatment of constipation where it acts by increasing the bowel movements frequency and also acts as stimulant laxative. It is used in suppository where it imparts constipation action. It is also used as a lubricant in ophthalmic solution to relive eye dryness and prevents further irritation. Moreover, it is used to soften cerumen who suffered from hard but not impacted form. It is also has veterinary applications and is used as an adjunct to treat acetonemia in cattle and sheep.
