LIGNOCAINE HYDROCHLORIDE

LIGNOCAINE HYDROCHLORIDE is a local anesthetic which is used in the treatment of temporary pain relief related to minor burns, skin abrasions including insect bites, pruritus and sunburn. It causes mucous membranes anesthesia including hemorrhoids, fissures and acts as anesthetic lubricant in cystoscopy, proctoscopy and sigmoidoscopy. It is also used in gums to impart surface anesthesia before injection and scaling. It also acts as antiarrhythmic drug to restore irregular heartbeats.
