XYLITOL

XYLITOL is usually extracted from birch wood and is used as a substitute of sugar. It is sued in sugar free gums, candies and in mints. It is also used in the prevention of tooth decay by reducing the number of bacteria causing decay in saliva, dry mouth and otitis media in children.
