ASPARTAME
Aspartame is an intense sweetener which 80 to 200 times sweeter than sucrose. It is used in both pharmaceutical and food industry. In pharmaceuticals, it is used in the formulation of tablets, vitamins, powder mixes. Moreover, it also acts as a flavor enhancer which helps to mask undesirable tastes. It is also used in foods and beverages which require less heating or is added at the end of the procedure because heating over time can reduce its sweetness.
