ATROPINE SULPHATE
Atropine Sulphate is widely used in ophthalmology for the production of cycloplegia, mydriasis and is also used in glaucoma surgery for having dilated pupil as well as to prevent posterior synechiae. It is frequently used to treat renal colic in conjunction with an opioid. It is also used in the management of irritant vapors inhalation, carotid sinus stimulation and stress on eyeball. It is used in veterinary medicine as antispasmodic, mydriatic and antidote to organophosphate insecticides.
