Basil Powder is collected from Ocimum basilicum herb which is widely used for flavor and fragrance in pharmaceuticals, foods and cosmetics. This one has been traditionally used as a medicinal plant for many years. It is used to treat headaches, diarrhea, coughs, kidney malfunction, warts, and worms. It is a great source of antioxidant which helps to reduce lipid peroxidation and this in turn gives chemomodulatory effect. Moreover, this antioxidant property also helps to impart its hypolipidaemic and anti- atherosclerotic activity.
