BENZOCAINE HYDROCHLORIDE

Benzocaine Hydrochloride is used as a local anesthetic which is usually applied topically on mucous membranes that are easily accessible. It is useful in relieving cold sores, fever blisters, mouth or gum associated pain. It is used in many dental formulations like toothpaste, gel ointment and other topical solution. It is also used in veterinary medicine as an anesthetic which gives its action locally.
