BETACAROTENE

Betacarotene is a potent antioxidant which gives cells protection against oxidative stress. It is used in the management and treatment of patients having polymorphous light eruption, erythropoietic protoporphyria, vitamin A deficiency. Moreover, it also reduces prostate cancer risk. It is used in veterinary medicine in all species as vitamin A precursor of vitamin A except cats.
