BISMUTH SUBCARBONATE
Bismuth Subcarbonate is bismuth compound which contains oxide as well as carbonate anions. It acts as an antacid which helps to reduce acidity. It is also used as an ant diarrheal and astringent agent. Now, it is used to make a nanotube array which gives antibacterial properties against a bacterium, Helicobacter pylori and this in turn helps in the treatment of peptic ulcers and gastritis.
