CALCIUM GLUCARATE is D-glucaric acid calcium salt which is used in supplements. Its oral supplements inhibit the enzyme, beta-glucuronidase which is produced by the colonic micro flora. Increased amount of this enzyme increases the risk of colon, breast and prostate cancers. It also acts as a lipid lowering agent.
