CALCIUM GLUCONATE
CALCIUM GLUCONATE is a water soluble calcium salt which is used for patients taking medications to inhibit stomach acid secretion like H2-receptor antagonists. It could be an effective supplementation to manage blood pressure and pre-eclampsia during pregnancy. It is especially required for pre as well as postmenopausal women, elderly and adolescents, particularly girls who may not have enough calcium in their diets. It is used in the treatment and prevention of pseudohypoparathyroidism, osteoporosis, osteomalacia, hypoparathyroidism, hypocalcemia, chronic renal failure and rickets. Moreover, it is used to increase urinary calcium and strontium excretion.
