CALCIUM HYDROXYAPATITE is a form of calcium apatite which is used as a filter to exchange amputated bone and is also effective in promoting bone growth into prosthetic implants. It is used to repair tooth enamel lesions and porous hydroxylapatite implants is used to deliver drugs locally in bones. Many implants or replacements are coated with calcium hydroxyapatite.
