CIPROFLOXACIN
CIPROFLOXACIN is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic which is used in the treatment of osteomyelitis, inhalational anthrax, oropharyngeal anthrax, recurrent urinary tract infections in men, chronic prostatitis and cutaneous anthrax. It is effective as an alternative agent in the treatment of prosthetic valve endocarditis caused by gram negative HACEK group including H. parainfluenzae, H. paraphrophilus, H. influenzae, Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans, Cardiobacterium hominis, Eikenella corrodens, Kingella denitrificans, K. kingae.
