L-ISOLEUCINE
L-ISOLEUCINE is an amino acid which acts as a protein block. It helps in proteinogenesis and may have anticatabolic, antihepatic encephalopathy and antitardive dyskinesia properties. It is also effective against metabolic disorders and low level of isoleucine gives rise to encephalopathy and chronic liver disease. It is used in parenteral nutrition in patients with sepsis and other anomalies.
