OROTIC ACID ANHYDROUS is a uricosuric which decreases the amount of uric acid in plasma and thereby helping in the treatment of gout. It is also known as vitamin B13. It helps in the metabolism of vitamin B13 and folic acid. Moreover, it also supports DNA synthesis. It acts as an indicator of abnormal liver functions due to viral infections or drug abuse or alcoholism, ammonia disorders and digestive tract bleeding.
