PHENYLEPHRINE HYDROCHLORIDE
PHENYLEPHRINE HYDROCHLORIDE is used in the treatment of symptomatic nasal congestion relief caused by sinusitis, common cold and other allergies of the upper respiratory tract. It is used as an adjunct therapy to treat middle ear infections and hemodynamic imbalances. Ophthalmic solution of phenylephrine hydrochloride is used in pupil dilation and is indicated in blanching test. It is also used for temporary relief of redness caused by minor eye irritations, colds, swimming, wind, smoke, smog and dust. Moreover, it is used in anorectal preparations that are topically used for symptomatic temporary relief of hemorrhoids.
