RUTIN is chemically categorized as a flavonoid which is used to treat internal bleeding, varicose veins and hemorrhoids. It is also used in the prevention of hemorrhagic strokes and mucositis. It can be obtained from buckwheat, Eucalyptus macrorhyncha, lime tree flowers, leaves and flowers of hawthorn, apples, Japanese pagoda tree, ginkgo biloba and St. John’s Wort. In conjunction with trypsin and bromelain, it is used to treat osteoarthritis.
