SODIUM CITRATE is the sodium salt of citric acid that is used to make urine less acidic which in turn helps kidneys to get rid of uric acid as well as to prevent gout and urates. It is also used in the prevention and treatment of acidosis which is caused by kidney disorders. It is known as urinary alkalinizers.
