SULBACTAM is categorized as ?-lactamase inhibitor. It is usually used in conjunction with ?-lactam antibiotics to inhibit ?-lactamase enzyme. It is more commonly combined with cefoperazone or ampicillin to impart better activity as it has less clinical importance when working alone.
