SULPHADIMIDINE SODIUM is an antibiotic of the sulfonamide group. It is a synthetic antibiotic that works as bacteriostatic and provides a wide range of spectrum against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It inhibits bacteria by competitively inhibiting para amino benzoic acid which in turn stops folic acid synthesis.
