VANCOMYCIN
VANCOMYCIN is an antibiotic which is used to treat infections caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococci and is effective against Staphylococcal endocarditis, diphtheroid endocarditis, Capnocytophaga infections; Staphylococci induced bone infections, septicemia, lower respiratory tract and skin infections. It is also used as an adjunct in surgical measures when needed. Moreover, it is used in the perioperative prevention from infections in cardiac surgery, vascular and orthopedic surgery.
